Learn to make Tabbouleh

Tabbouleh is a salad traditionally made of bulgur, tomato, and finely chopped parsley and mint, often including onion and garlic, seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice and salt. It is typically served as a part of mezze. Tabbouleh is a popular dish world over, and why not? It’s tasty, healthy, and quick to make.

If you haven’t made Tabbouleh before, this is the time to make it. Here goes the recipe.

Ingredients:
1/4th cup fine bulgur
2 cups parsley
½ cup mint leaves
3-4 firm ripe tomatoes
2 onions
¼ cup Olive Oil
Juice of One lemon
Salt to taste
Lettuce or Cabbage
Optional ( ¼ th tsp Ground black pepper, ground cinnamon, all spice powder)

Method
• Wash bulgur several times and soak for 20 minutes
• Chop washed and dried parsley and mint
• Chop tomatoes and onions
• Mix all the above ingredients
• Drizzle olive oil and lime juice over the mixture
• Add salt and mix well
• Serve with grilled flatbread
